Marshawn Lynch Sits During the National Anthem in Raider's Pre-Season Game

Beast Mode, Marshawn Lynch, sat on the bench for the national anthem at the Oakland Raider's pre-season opener on Saturday. This comes after quarterback Colin Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL for kneeling during the anthem as a protest to racial injustice in America. Lynch told his coach that his decision to sit was something that he has been doing throughout his career and wasn't politically motivated. Lynch voluntarily retired from the NFL in 2015 and sat out last season before joining his home team, the Oakland Raiders.
