Kanye West and Nick Cannon's war of words has come to an end. According to TMZ, Ye and Nick squashed their beef over the weekend after Nick responded to Kanye's initial Instagram rant that called the Wild 'N Out host out for speaking negatively about his wife, Kim Kardashian.

The two reportedly exchanged phone numbers via Instagram Direct Messages and eventually spoke on the phone where they had a long conversation about their issues. The site reported that "they both agreed to be mindful of one another going forward, and to continue their friendship."

As previously reported, the friend's beef began when Kanye lashed out at Nick, Drake, and Tyson Beckford (all of whom either shaded Kanye's wife or in Ye's words upset his spirt), in an Instagram rant last week.

“I just wanted to express some things that were not sitting right with my spirit. Now that I’m up out the sunken place I can think and I can just be ‘Ye and express how I feel. There’s a couple of things that I want to address,” Ye said in his first of four Instagram videos. “First of all I want to address Nick Cannon. I understand that you used to date my wife, but you know, you get into an interview, don’t mention my wife,” he continued, referencing the Wild 'N Out host's Everyday Struggle interview where he said he didn’t think it was a “far off of a concept” that Drake and Kim hooked up. “If someone brings my wife up, say, ‘I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’ Don’t be making no suggestions — like nobody f**ked my wife."

Nick was the only one of the three men to respond to Ye's rant, replying on Instagram only hours later. “Welcome back, Ye, from the sunken place. It’s a beautiful thing, I’m glad you’re back with us brother,” Nick began his two-video Instagram response. “Nothing but love and respect for you brother, you know I’ve always had that. But I honestly got to say this, my dude. I’ve never said anything disrespectful or harmful to ya, in my opinion, to your marriage or your union. I salute it, keep it going.”

“But you are not gonna tell me what I can and what I can’t say, I’m a solid individual," Nick continued. "Someone asks me a question, I’m gonna answer it to the best of my ability. I’m gonna give my opinion," he added. "There ain’t no harm, no foul. But I know it got your spirit feeling weird. Holla at me. You know where I’m at, you know what I’m saying. A man’s spirit is free but pride binds it at times, so you gotta let that lose, let it lose.”

Nick ended his reply by saying, "let’s talk about it. Come on the [Wild 'N Out]. Let's show it’s all love … we can have a good time with this. It can be Mariah [Carey] jokes, Kim jokes, all that,” Nick, who was married to Mariah for eight years, said in the video. “In all seriousness, I’ve got nothing for love for you, but I’mma always speak my mind, just like you always speak yours. Not you, not NBC, not no corporate infrastructures, no one is ever gonna control what I say because I speak truth, always. It’s love.”
